  The pie chart shows several factors that people took into consideration while choosing a restaurant in 2017. At 36.3% we can see that features took the lion’s share. Next came the service quality and environment, constituting 26.8% and 23.8% respectively, while prices fell far behind, merely at 8.4%.


  这个饼状图展示了人们在2017年选择餐厅时纳入考虑的因素。如图所示,特色占据了最大比例,为36.3%。紧随其后的是服务品质和环境,分别占据了26.8%和23.8%,而价格因素则远远落在后面,只有8.4%。


  Reasons for these differences can be summarized as follows. Firstly, it is universally acknowledged that Chinese people nowadays have taken vast steps in their pursuit of material life. Therefore, they are willing to try some distinctive snacks, instead of simply meeting their basic need for food. Undoubtedly, tasting mouth-watering food can be always enjoyable and memorable. Secondly, with a constant rise in personal income of Chinese people, they are less sensitive to the cost of food when they eat out. As a result, prices have become one of the less important factors that affect people’s option.


  原因可总结如下。第一,众所周知,今天的中国人在物质生活的追求上有了巨大进步。因此,他们愿意品尝一些有特色的食品,而不是仅仅满足自己对食物的基本需求。无疑,品尝美味的食物总是让人身心愉悦且值得记忆。第二,随着中国人个人收入的持续提高,他们外出就餐时对价格因素不是十分敏感了。如此一来,价格就成为了影响人们选择的不太重要的因素之一。


  To sum up, I personally think that the trend is expected to continue for quite a while in coming years. I am also convinced that an increasing number of people will focus more on the features and services than any other factors while evaluating a restaurant.


  总而言之,我个人认为这个趋势据预测会在今后几年中持续下去。我也坚信越来越多的人在评估一家餐厅时更多关注其特色和服务,而不是其他因素。
