常见误区1：照搬翻译中文介绍

我在辅导时，一般会要求同学自己先准备一份英文自我介绍。不少同学会把中文版自我介绍拿出来，通过百度或者ChatGPT翻译成英文，缝缝补补后给我。这样好吗？不好！中文自我介绍要让面试官认识优秀的你，可能牵扯到学习、工作、管理、计划、特长、素质等的与众不同之处，对于行文、逻辑、表达、感染力有很高的要求。再者，它是很多考官发问的重点，所以必须字斟句酌，引导考官去提问。而英文自我介绍没有那么高的要求，它的主要目的是告诉考官你的英文水平还不错。如果用中文版生搬硬套翻译过来，很容易导致英文版自我介绍时间长、生词多、难度大，还容易忘词、讲得磕磕巴巴，最终导致失分。尤其是英语基础不好的同学，非常不建议这样操作。

常见误区2：使用大量复合句、难词、偏词

还有的同学不满足于简单句，认定不用大量的复合句和难词偏词，不能显出自己过硬的英语本领。比如下面两个简单句：I had been a hard worker in the factory. There I was promoted to be a team leader.有的同学会改成一个长长的复合句：As a diligent professional of the factory, where I had made 3-year contributions, finally I was awarded an opportunity to get to a higher position.句子很长用词很“高级”，但是并不怎么符合英语口语语境，考官也很难快速get到你在讲什么。而如果你的英语水平恰好只是四级擦线、毕业后又多年不用，讲复合句、难词、偏词反而更容易出错，更别说得到高分了。

英文自我介绍不是背作文

关于复试中英文自我介绍，我们要清楚两点：

一，我们面对的是复试，不是初试；

二，面对的是口语，不是笔试。

所以，英语口语面试考察的是你的英语口语交流能力，而不是你的背诵英文文章的能力。没有哪个学校的要求说，你要用多么复杂的句式，高端的词汇，不能有语法错误。我们首先要能够用英语说，能够让别人get到我们的点。至于是否有语法错误，是否词汇专业、恰当，那就都是后话了。所以，有时间去背那些自己都觉生涩的模板，还不如多花点时间看下英语口语涉及到的基本词汇。

好的英文自我介绍长啥样？来看看下面两份自我介绍——原文：

点评：如果忽略拼写与搭配错误，这是一份不错的自我介绍。但文章主人是一名英语培训老师，这个水平就不够了，因为句式单一、用语平淡，与他本人应有的英文水平也不匹配。

总的来说，好的英文自我介绍不会过于简单，也不是盲目堆砌复杂句、难词、偏词，它应当是结合你个人特点与经历定制的，并且符合你的英文水平。这里送给大家一份模板，建议四级水平及以下的同学使用，工作部分自己可以增加。

自我介绍只是面试的引入

对自我介绍而言，首先把姓名、本科学校、专业、家乡、兴趣爱好等涉及到的单词准备好。可以自行串联成一小段，进行练习。面试的时候，等把这些说完，再往下你就要被老师打断，然后老师开始问问题了。对于绝大多数平时和口语八竿子都站不上边的我们，前期是需要背诵一点东西丰富一下我们语料库，避免头脑一片空白。但一定要谨记，不要为了背而背！除了准备一小段自我介绍外，我们重点需要针对某些话题/提问，进行回答练习。提前准备好哪些问题大致该朝哪些方向回答，想好几个关键点，然后口头用英语进行复述。

阅读英文文章：阅读英文文章可以帮助提高阅读理解能力、词汇量和语感。可以选择一些经济学、管理学方面的英文文章进行阅读，最好读出声来，并在阅读过程中注重提取文章的主旨和关键词汇，有助于提高自己的快速抓取信息的能力。

听力训练：听力是口语训练的基础，考生可以选择一些商业管理领域的英文专题讲座、TED演讲等来进行听力训练，并积极练习听写和默写，从而提高自己的听力识别、语音模仿和表达能力。

口语训练：口语训练是MBA提前面试最为重要的一个环节。找到MBA面试常见话题，通过背诵范例对话和自我复述的方式，不断练习自己的口头表达能力。

交流实践：除了单纯的语言训练外，平时还可以参与一些英语角交流等活动，积极锻炼自己的口头交流能力。
